My plan was to play two rounds of golf per week and walk the course in order to get in 10,000 steps each day. On Ibotta, I signed into the Groupon site where I found a great deal on my new health tracker. Not only does it count my steps each day, it monitors my heart rate, counts the calories that I burn off, tells time, and lets me know the length of time that I exercise – all for $33.98! Ibotta also rebated 2% of my purchase. Now, I know that the golf season is officially open because I have cut out the advertised coupons in the daily paper giving me a special rate for 9 or 18 holes of golf during the week. However, today when I arrived at the course for our 9:26 a.m. tee time, I found the course closed until noon because of last night’s severe storm. This has been the story for the whole month of May! My golf partner and I were able to find another wet, opened but vacant golf course and got in a quick nine before the heavens opened up again. I’m glad that we are out of our drought conditions; but I hope this isn’t a preview of the upcoming summer. Meanwhile, I better drag out the treadmill again in order to accomplish my goal of 10,000 daily steps!
