In the past, especially during the summer months, I would treat myself to a good-sized bowl of ice cream just about every afternoon or evening. For years my family has teased me about the variety of flavors found in our freezer on any given day. I still enjoy an ice cream treat every now and then, however, I have discovered that yogurt is a more desirable and healthier option for me. Today I enjoyed a Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt to which I added slices of a Halos mandarin orange – delicious! Zero added sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no fat, 15 grams of protein, and 6 grams of dietary fiber are all benefits of this yogurt choice. FYI – if you need a good book to read during down time this summer, the Kindle version of “in Polyester Pajamas,” written by my sister, Catherine Dougherty, is being offered free of charge on Amazon through Thursday of this week. The new audiobook is only $1.99. Also, if you want to try the Oikos Greek Yogurt, don’t forget to take advantage of the $1.25 rebate on Checkout 51 with the purchase of three 5.3 oz. cups.
