I love the challenge of stretching a dollar and saving money when I shop!

My career began as a deli clerk in a grocery store where I met my husband who was then an apprentice butcher. After several years, I went into banking where I eventually became a branch manager and helped people invest their savings. My husband continued working as a butcher until our retirement in 2010. Raising our children in a small town, we were part of the grocery store family where I learned how to eat well and shop wisely.

Presently, the grocery industry is in a major transition in order to keep up with the needs and demands of customers. Large amounts of money have been invested by companies and merchandisers in order to gain interest in their stores and their products. As a retiree trying to live on our Social Security checks, I am amazed to see how easy it is to dramatically reduce the cost of my monthly grocery bill. On this site, hopefully, I can give you some tips to guide you to begin to feed your piggy with huge savings.

I began to see how it was possible to earn an extra income using my computer when I became a published author in 2012. It was a dream come true. Since then, I've written and published several books with more in the works. (To find out more about me and my books, visit my author site and/or my Amazon author page.)

Like my sister, Cindy, I love bargains and saving money. My sister has shown me how to save--and earn--more by shopping. She knows how to get the best deals out there and she's been doing it for years. Combined with my self-taught computer skills and desire to help find more ways to save, we make a great team.

With a full-time day job and writing on the side, I had no idea I could find the time to fit one more project into my already very busy life, but this is an exciting venture and it's so much fun. It's something we want to share with all of you. That's why we have created this special site and hope you visit it often. Let's all Feed the Piggy together and SAVE!
